NSS Activity: ” Hareet Wari Abhiyan”

As a part of being a responsible citizen, NSS Unit of JSPM’s Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy and Research, Tathawade participated in Green Wari organized by Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) on Sunday, 23rd June 2019. In an attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the "Largest Distribution of Saplings, 17,000 students were distributed saplings at Savitri Phule Pune University (SPPU) on Sunday. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis as the chief guest, along with Pune Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil were present at the event. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis gave a pledge to over 15000 students and exhorted them to create awareness about cleanliness, health, hygiene and environment through the waari. The event was organised at a big playground near the university, students wore tricolour t-shirts and cap during the event and sat accordingly to represent the National Flag. NSS volunteers actively participated in this activity. All the staff members played role as Steward in this Green Wari. NSS Coordinator Mr. A. N. Tankar guided all the NSS volunteers and Steward to perform the active role in Hareet Wari.
