Marathi Language Day is celebrated in memory of the great Marathi poet, Vishnu VamanShirvadkar, popularly known as ‘Kusumagraj’, who was born on February 27, 1912.JSPM's RajarshiShahu College of Pharmacy and Research, Tathawade, Pune was organizedprogramon 27th February to celebrateMarathi Language Day.Coordinator of program was Prof. Trupti Deshpande (Pharmacology Department of JSPM's RSCOPR) and Convener Dr. K.R Khandelwal. (Principal JSPM's RSCOPR)Mrs. SushmaKapse was the speaker for the Program. In her speech she mentioned that this celebration aims at honoring the rich history and literature associated with it among Marathi-speaking community.Spontaneous speech given by students. Students focused on importance of education in their mother tongue. Many students focused on literature available in Marathi Language like ManacheShlok, Dnyaneshwari etc. Some explained about Marathi saints and their contribution too.The program ended with the Marathi AbhimanGeet.
